Samuel Staveley was born in Holmesfield, Derbyshire, the eldest son of Francis Staveley and Martha on February 20, 1822.  Francis and Martha are living in Dronfield, Derbyshire by 1841:

Martha died in Dronfield in 1870 at the age of 75 years.

Francis and Martha had two children in addition to Samuel, Sarah (b. 1827) and John (b. 1830 - d. 1836).  Samuel married Sarah BUTLER in Chesterfield in 1840, and is living in Castleton, Lancashire in 1851.  By 1861 we find them lodging in the Howarth household in Dronfield:

John Henry Staveley was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire in 1859, the eldest son of Samuel Staveley and Emma CHARLESWORTH.  John married Mary BEAUMONT in 1883 in Sheffield, and initially settled in Heeley, where the family is located in 1891. John Henry Staveley's death was registered in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, in 1898 at the age of 39 years. His widow Mary, and their children are found living in Dronfield in 1901:

Albert Beaumont Staveley married Ruth RAWSON in 1910 and had at least three children, Bertha (b. 1913), Thomas (b. 1915), and Winifred R (b. 1919).
