Fulham, Middlesex
The following family is that of Robert Ussher Staveley of Dublin, Ireland, and his wife Alice Elizabeth CARMODY. Robert and Alice had settled in Hackney, Middlesex. While in the Navy, Robert died unexpectedly in 1884 of tuberculosis, and Alice quickly remarried, to a George Loverock ORME at the end of 1884. In 1901 we find the family as follows:

The origins of these Fulham Staveleys are not clear, however it is known that Samuel Staveley b. 1861 in Newington, Middlesex, is the son of Samuel Staveley, a Farrier, of Somerstown, St. Pancras, London. Samuel Staveley of Newington married Edith JONES in Fulham in 1887:

Samuel and Roslina's son John Alfred Staveley was a Rifleman in the 12th Battalion of the King's Royal Rifle Corps during World War 1. He died January 31, 1918 at the age of 22 years, and his buried in Fulham Old Cemetery.
