Saguache, CO
John A. Stavely was born in Kansas, the son of William T. Stavely of Osage, Kansas. These Stavelys have origins in Ireland. They settled in Mineral Point Wisconsin in the late 1840's, prior to moving to Allegheny Pennsylvania. The majority of the Mineral Point Stavely family had relocated to Osage, Kansas by 1878. By 1895, John's family had moved to Pottawatomie, Oklahoma, John is found living with his parents, William and Clara in Oklahoma in 1900. John A. Stavely married Maybelle CAMP, and by 1920 had settled in Saguache, Colorado:
