William Henry Wackerell Staveley was born in Camelford, Cornwall, the son of William Staveley and Mary of Bideford, Devon.  He married Frances SIMS, the daughter of Richard Littleworth Sims,  in 1844 in Reading, Berkshire.

William H. W. Staveley July 27, 1891 at the age of 68.  Wife Frances Ann appears to have died on Portsea Island, Hampshire, in 1899 at the age of 73.  Daughter Frances Ann died a spinster at the age of 46 on May 19, 1892 in Reading, Berkshire.

This branch of the Staveleys appears to have died out when William Henry Staveley died a bachelor and intestate on January 3, 1903.

Re WILLIAM HENRY STAVELEY, Deceased.

PURSUANT to an Order of the Chancery Division of the High Court of Justice, made in the matter of the estate of William Henry Staveley, deceased, and in an action "Sims against Veale, 1903, S. No. 1647," and dated the 25th May, 1903, the persons claiming to be the heir-at-law or next-of-kin according to the statutes for the distribution of intestates' estates, of William Henry Staveley, late of Fremington House, Reading, in the county of Berks, Surgeon Dentist, living at the time of the death of the said William Henry Staveley, on the 3rd day of January, 1903, are by their Solicitors, on or before the 24th day of October, 1903, to come in and prove their claims at the chambers of Mr. Justice Buckley and Mr. Justice Byrne, at the Royal Courts of Justice, Room No. 293, or in default thereof they will be peremptorily excluded from the benefit of the said Order. Tuesday, the 3rd day of November, 1903, at 12 of the clock noon, at the said chambers, is appointed for hearing and adjudicating upon the claims (if any). The said William Henry Staveley, deceased (who at the time of his death was possessed of some freehold houses in and about the town of Reading), was the only son of William Henry Wackerell Staveley, of Reading aforesaid, Surgeon Dentist, who died on the 27th day of July 1891, and of Frances, his wife. The said William Henry Wackerell Staveley, the father of the said William Henry Staveley, was (it is believed) the only child of William Staveley, formerly of Appledore and Bideford, in the county of Devon, Surgeon, who died at Bideford aforesaid'on the 1st December, 1840. The said William Staveley was a son of George Staveley, of Bideford aforesaid, Ironmonger, who died on the 31st May, 1837, leaving five sons him surviving, vizt.: the said William Staveley, John Williams Staveley, George Staveley, Henry Staveley, and Charles Staveley, all of whom are mentioned in the will of the said George Staveley, proved in the Exeter Diocesan Registry on the 25th September, 1837. Frances Staveley, the wife of the before named William Henry Wackerell Staveley, and the mother of the said William Henry Staveley, deceased, was daughter of Richard Littleworth Sims, formerly of Reading aforesaid, Carrer and Gilder, who died on the 7th September, 1867.
