Arthur George Mair Staveley died suddenly, just four years later, at the age of 52 years:

Arthur G. M. Staveley, sales representative for the Carter Ink Company, died on Monday of a heart attack in his home at 86-11 Eightieth Street, Woodhaven, Queens.  Mr. Staveley was born fifty-two years ago in England.  He is survived by a widow, two sons and a daughter.


 

Edward Staveley was born about 1875, the son of John Staveley and Margaret of Jarrow, near South Shields, Durham. Edward's father John died in 1883, and his mother remarried a George INGOE.  In 1891 Edward is living in the Ingoe household in Jarrow.  In 1899 Edward married Annie FETTIS in South Shields.  They are residing in Jarrow, Durham in 1901.   In 1913 Edward's wife Annie sailed aboard the Mauretania, arriving at Ellis Island, New York on March 28, 1913.  She is traveling with her son John Robert Staveley aged 12, daughter Ethel aged 8, and son Edward A. Staveley aged 6 years.  Annie gives the address of her mother, Mrs. A. Fettis, as her nearest relative in England, residing at Connaught Terrace, Jarrow, Durham.  She lists her destination address as:
