Highweek, Devon
Edmund Staveley was born in 1836 in Kensington, Middlesex, the son of Thomas Staveley and Eliza WOWSKI. Edmund, a Captain in the Royal Artillery, married Jemima Caroline SMITH of Sydney, Australia on July 15, 1865. Jemima Caroline died in 1892 in Totnes, Devon. In 1899 Edmund married Ethel Mary MAJOR in Birkenhead, and is found living in Highweek, Devon in 1901.
