Yorkshire
Since the days of Archil and Gospatric, the Staveleys have long held land in the Yorkshire Ridings. Yorkshire has historically been called home by more Staveleys than perhaps anywhere else in England. As a result, researching any one of the numerous Staveley lines from Yorkshire can be an overwhelming prospect. Distinct Staveley lineages are present in each of the three Ridings, and within each Riding, more than one Staveley lineage exists. As such, each Riding of Yorkshire will be presented separately.
