Martha's son Lewis married Elizabeth and had a daughter Martha Staveley Swindells b. June 29, 1854 (she was buried May 31, 1858 at St. Mary's Church, Disley).

A will dated 1823 for John Staveley Sr. states he was a Gentleman of Disley. He appoints his son John Staveley as executor, and lists (amongst others) his daughter Martha Swindells (nee Staveley), and grandson John Wood Swindells as beneficiaries of his estate.
